A mid-heavy weight embroidered half-zip crew carrying the Laughing Kookaburra. 350 GSM, 80% cotton / 20% recycled polyester anti-pill fleece, cut to a regular fit with a mock neck and smooth front zip — pre-shrunk and built to be worn hard and kept for years. The Kookaburra sits on the left chest in finely detailed thread, while a small footprint is embroidered on the back — a subtle trace of the bird behind the design. Part of the Ineffable Wildlife collection.

The Laughing Kookaburra is the largest of the kingfishers and one of the most recognisable sounds in the Australian bush — its call a rising, cackling chorus most often heard at dawn and dusk. Stocky and still, it hunts from a perch with remarkable patience, dropping onto insects, reptiles and small prey below. Its plumage is understated up close: cream and soft brown, with a dark eye-stripe and flashes of blue across the wing — the details we carried, thread for thread, into The Wanderer.
